Susan Baumann, MS, LPC

Ms. Baumann is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC#010194) trained in psychotherapy and psychometrics. She works with children, adolescents, and adults.

Ms. Baumann has experience working with clients addressing challenges including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, adjustment, life transitions, emotional and behavioral issues, and stress management.  Ms. Baumann believes in providing encouragement, support, and perspective, by joining individuals on their journey of change and growth.  Ms. Baumann incorporates a variety of interventions in her practice and customizes her approach to provide individualized care specific to each client’s unique needs.  In addition, Ms. Baumann often incorporates the use of play therapy techniques in her sessions.

Ms. Baumann received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University where she was awarded the Ali McNichols Outstanding Graduate Student Award. In her Master’s thesis, Ms. Baumann co-designed and completed original research focused on emotional self-regulation.  She was formerly an adjunct professor at Brenau University’s Psychology department.

Ms. Baumann is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia, the Georgia Association for Play Therapy (GAPT), and the Association for Play Therapy (APT).  

She currently accepts private pay clients and is an in-network provider for Anthem/BCBS.  Her rates range from $100-$165 per session.
